In October last year, I purchased a lottery ticket to get a shot at early entry for Grand Canyon permits for March 2024. I was successful with the lottery and made selections based on what was available. I chose a basic trip down to the canyon bottom and selected Bright Angel Campground for the first night. The second and third nights were at Cottonwood Camp and the last night was back at Bright Angel. Because of work on the water pipeline, the Bright Angel Trail was closed so we hiked down (and back up) via the South Kaibab trail.
