Grateful Dart Board – What a Long Strange Trip its Been

I built this dart board cabinet in 2020 during the beginning of the pandemic. I've never been one to fully make plans for something before I start building it. I mean, I had a good idea what I wanted, but the exact dimensions and overall theme for the board were figured out along the way. I ended up sort of reverse engineering Land of Oz Wizard Dart Boards design based on images I saw online. I knew I wanted a white dart board. I didn't know I was going to go with a Grateful Dead design until I installed the addressable LEDs in the marquee. When I saw those multi colored lights scrolling by, I knew it needed a psychedelic theme.

I've posted images of this dart board on the various Granboard Facebook groups but I haven't received as much positive feedback as I expected. These dart guys are a tough group, LOL. I think the addressable LEDs are considered a distraction. Also I don't have a brighter than the sun LED ring lighting up the board. I don't understand the need for that really as long as the board is properly lit - but then again I'm not very good at darts either so maybe there is something to it I don't understand.

Just the basics here. A Granboard, a touchscreen and a piece of melamine.
Got the sides cut out
Testing the android box and Granboard software.
All of the melamine cutting finished and fitted. T-molding slots cut.
Hammering in the T-molding and cutting to fit as I go.
Chrome T-molding all done. It still has its protective layer on in this image - the chrome is much shinier.
Sound activated color changing LED strips installed
