I had to go to Arkansas for some training for my new job. When I was young I lived in Amarillo Texas and we would sometimes take a vacation to Arkansas and visit the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The Crater of Diamonds isn't really a crater at all but a field. You are allowed to walk around and dig to look for diamonds and you can keep whatever you find. Since I was in Arkansas for a couple of weeks, I spent my one weekend there out at the Diamond mine. I didn't find anything but it was still a lot of fun and it really brought back some old memories. The place was just as I had remembered it and fascinating as ever.
